Jackson State University is a public historically Black university located in Jackson, Mississippi. The Tigers compete in NCAA Division I athletics as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Jackson State sponsors multiple varsity programs and competes primarily within the SWAC structure. The athletic department has a strong regional presence across several sports.
